MISSING RUMP FOUND! or RUMPUS ROASTUS!
Sebastion, our Barbary lion at EARS, has a very special friend, Janelle, from Jacksonville, Florida. Janelle specifically bought this rump roast for her well-coiffed, majestic pal, Sebastion. Janelle told us at EARS that she wanted Sebastion to have the whole roast for himself. Needless to say, Sebastion was one touched & delighted lion because of Janelle's gift. The priceless photos of Sebastion with his gift were taken by EARS volunteers, Angie, Tommy & Merri. Sebastion says THANK YOU Janelle and he hopes you enjoy him striking a pose for you with his rump roast!
Did you know the Barbary lion (Panthera leo leo), is also known as the Atlas lion or Nubian lion and is a subspecies of lion that is extinct in the wild?
GABE IS IN HIS NEW ENCLOSURE!
THANK YOU BSA Troop 112!
BIG CATS SAY BOYSCOUT TROOP 112 SET NEW BENCHMARKS!
Ever wonder where EARS got those sturdy, artsy, cool jungle benches that made their debut all around the sanctuary? A young man's Eagle Scout project, that's where! The young man, Brian, and many more boys from Troop 112 were involved in this project. The rest of the boys are not pictured just yet, as we are in the process of obtaining parental consent forms to publish their pictures. Below, see step-by-step, just how Brian and the boys from Troop 112 made our wild jungle benches. Thanks to Assistant Scoutmaster, Mike Davis, for the great project photos & facts!
There were a total of 25 scouts and adults involved for a combined 118 man hours. The following individuals donated the money to buy the materials for the project: Charlotte Johnson, Trusten and Charline Drake, Greg and Shannon Jones, JR and Cecelia Nobles, Ted and Sandy Taylor, Gary and Judy Pauley and Goebel's Used Cars. Thank you for your generous support! The big cats of EARS love Boyscout Troop 112 & EARS visitors & staff alike, appreciate having a nice place to sit and rest their paws!

EARS HALLOWEEN TOUR-LOTS OF FUN!
Jane & Paul Betlem of Rochester, NY, won the 50/50 contest, then turned right around and donated most of their winnings right back to EARS! Jane (second photo below from right) is holding up one of Gail's prints she was presented with as thanks for she & her husband's donation to EARS!
BIG CATS OF EARS WILD ABOUT RED HAT SOCIETY!Several chapters of the Red Hat Society visited
the EARS Sanctuary recently. This is a photo of one of the chapters! We are so happy to have met you & hope you come back soon! Oh, yes, the cats also want to know if they get red hats, can they belong to the Red Hat Society? They mumbled something about a cat in a hat... | BIG CATS OF EARS HAVE BEEF WITH VISITORS!Actually, frequent EARS visitors, Tony & Sandy Aiuppy & Dave & Carol Waymire, were a roaring big hit with the lions and tigers. They surprised the EARS big cats by bringing them RED MEAT treats! The big cat sampler surprise had all sorts of tasty beef, pot roast, boneless beef roast, & roast beef. The big cats of EARS gives the Aiuppy & Waymire families two paws up in appreciation & said to tell you guys they can't wait to see you again!
