We will add to this section as information is obtained.   It is a work in progress.

Every creature at EARS has their own story.  Not all, but most have come to us from abusive, neglectful horrible conditions.

When EARS takes an animal in, we give it a home for life.  Our lives revolve around the amazing animals that live here at EARS.  We do our utmost best to give them the love, compassion and caring that they deserve.  We believe that these innocent animals have been incarcerated for having committed  no crime whatsoever.  Since they have been born into captivity, they wouldn't stand a chance set free in the wild, so that is why the next best solution is to have them live at a facility such as EARS.  We strive to continually expand habitats and enclosures.  We don't just want to meet legal enclosure guidelines, we want to exceed them.  EARS has some of the largest turnouts in the State of Florida.  We strive to make sure they have sanitary living conditions and enough to eat.  We constantly think of ways to enrich their quality of life.

In fact, every single person who has visited EARS  is completely amazed at the cleanliness of the sanctuary.  All of the habitats are cleaned and disinfected  daily.  People remark at how happy and content all the animals seem.  We take our duty to these noble wonderful beasts seriously.  That's why  we see to it that the animals are cleaned and well fed on a daily basis, every single day of the year, including Christmas Day.  And actually, on Christmas  Day, each and every one of them is given a special treat.

Something else you should know...EARS is a "No Breeding" sanctuary.  The only way babies arrived at EARS is if the mother that we rescued was already pregnant.

Our lives revolve  around the animals of the sanctuary.  When we think of what they have gone through, consider the injustice that they are "behind bars" instead of the people who harmed them, when we look into their eyes, all the hard work is worth it.

Join us, won't you, in helping these incredible animals, by donating now!

                                                                    The Truth About Big Cats
Many people limit their understanding of big cats by the fears they hold that have been instilled by movie productions, circus trainers being brutally attacked and the media coverage that is focused on negative publicity.  What you  don't see is the abuse, starvation and unfit working and living conditions for these animals that  exist behind the scenes. EARS challenges you to reach past your doubts and fears  and get to know the truth about big cats. We offer pictures of these cats at  their rescue & months later living happily at EARS. They came to us starved,  sick and helpless. Now they are self-sufficient, healthy and absolutely beautiful.
