Rick James is a neutered tiger who lives peacefully with two other tigers.  Without a doubt, Rick James has been the sweetest temperament of any tiger at the EARS Sanctuary.  His habitat covers nearly an acre and is an indication of our commitment to the animals.

                                                                    NORMAN

Our precious Norman (a wonderful tiger) came to  EARS  with a facial deformity, having as a cub,  previously suffered a terrible and untreated beating from a very bad person who crushed Norman's lower jaw.  He  developed gangrene and lost most of his lower jaw.  Fortunately, someone heard of Norman's ordeal & rescued him and Jaye brought him to our Florida sanctuary.   Norman's age is unknown, however we, his caregivers are sure  he is no "spring chicken."  When Norman first started displaying signs of his  age, we started  adding glucosamine/chondroitin to his daily diet.  This additive  has certainly proven to enhance his quality of life.
While visiting the sanctuary that rescued Norman, our EARS president, Jaye, met Norman, and there was an immediate trust between them. Jaye visited Norman often, took him toys, and spent precious time with him; and a bond soon formed.

The facility where Norman lived took very good care of him, but Jaye wanted more for him. She felt that with all Norman had been through, he should have a large turn-out with a pond, so that he could run and swim. The owner of the sanctuary recognized the bond that Norman and Jaye had, and she knew that Norman would have a great home at EARS, Inc.

Norman was so nervous on his journey to EARS that Jaye rode with him in the transport trailer, talking with and reassuring him for the entire trip.

When Norman arrived at EARS, he was released in his very own, large turn-out. Norman's pen is so large that he actually thought he was free. He ran, played with his toys, and jumped in the pond for a swim. Needless to say, it was a wonderful day at the EARS Sanctuary.

Norman is now living at EARS, and will have a safe home for the rest of his life. He is the kindest and most loving of all the cats. It is hard to believe that he is as gentle as he is, with the horrible experiences he endured as a cub. Ears, Inc. is honored to have the opportunity to care for this magnificent tiger.

He had lost most of his sight.  Gail Bowen fell in love with Rajah's charm, grace, and beauty, and could not let him suffer any longer. She felt the urgent need to help Rajah's worsening eyesight. Without hesitation, Gail decided to let the doctor perform corrective surgery on Rajah, and to pay the high medical costs herself.

Even though Duke originally came from a good home where he received all necessary for survival, he was no longer needed. All of his human caretakers truly love this mild-mannered tiger.Duke loves to take bubble baths and will churn up the water if there aren't enough bubbles to suit him.

                                                                    TABBY
